The Value of Cross-platform Test Automation

In our previous blog post we placed Test Automation under the magnifying glass as we discussed its uses and advantages. We touched upon the subject of how Test Automation can be implemented across multiple platforms and this month we are focusing on the benefits of doing so.

Nowadays, we live in a digital world, our reliance on technology and data increases daily; the dependence on the internet is present in almost all aspects of our lives from our work to our leisure. Over 3.2 billion people around the world are now connected, that’s more than 40% of the global population.

As the number of internet users increase, the vast array of platforms used to access it continues to diversify. The number of methods through which to connect to the internet is huge, as is the variety to be found in the configurations of hardware and software that make up those methods. The smorgasbord of options available to consumers can only be a good thing but it complicates matters for those who use the internet to provide products and services.
